Born on 1 April 1985, Manoj Babu Panta graduated from Tribhuvan University with the specialization of screenplay writing and direction in 2007 AD. His first short film KATHA KAHAN CHHA? (WHERE IS THE STORY?)(2008) was screened in numerous film festivals. His second short film AVASHESH (THE REMAINS) (2018) has been officially selected and has won awards in prestigious film festivals. He has been teaching cinema at Tribhuvan University for a decade and has mentored numerous cinema workshops. He is the head of the department of screenplay writing and direction faculty at the College of Film Studies since 2012. Currently, He is working on his debut feature film.
